Company Introduction

Helping Hands Domestic Care Limited was established in 2007. Its founder and manager Wendy Dennis, having had experience in the industry since 1998, utilised her expertise and experience to develop her own thoughts and style into the provision of domestic care and home help services to the elderly, disabled people and adults with learning difficulties.

It is the primary aim of Helping Hands to extend a friendly, caring, personal and excellent service to all our customers

The service we provide is an affordable option for families and their elderly or infirm relatives, who are looking for peace of mind and daily assistance but are not quite ready for full time care.

The package of services offered have been specifically tailored and adapted to enable our service users to enjoy the comfort of remaining in their own homes knowing that they can benefit from a vast range of services and assistance from one service provider. Our employees provide help in the home and have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

The concept of Helping Hands is based on attention to detail and the personal touch. The company objective is to be the best at what it does and to ensure the Helping Hands portfolio extends beyond the normal domestic cleaning services.

Consistency, trust and continuity of care are priorities that we consider of utmost importance to our clients

When a client instructs Helping Hands to set up an arrangement on a regular basis, the job is allocated to an employee who will be dedicated to that particular client; therefore the client has no need to worry about continually opening the door to a stranger.

Their carer becomes a key person in their lives so will know when anything is amiss sometimes before anybody else (this is not the case when different workers are sent in regularly). It is therefore possible to ensure that the right help is respectfully offered at the right time without total intrusion into independent lives.

Our hourly rates also include support, advice and information for our registered clients and employees provided by and experienced organised and approachable management team. We do not offer personal care.

Helping Hands has looked after my aged sister for a number of years. She has many health and behavioural issues including dementia, and she can be very difficult. In additional to general care around the house her carer, Tanya, shops with her, accompanies her on medical appointments, visits her when in hospital, and takes her out for a weekly lunch to provide some genuine enjoyment in life. How did I come to ask Helping Hands Domestic Care to help in my home? First of all, I felt the time had come to ask for help. My Friend, Jean had used Helping Hands for a number of years and was very satisfied with the service. Wendy sent Sally to me and she is a “Gem”. Not knowing where to start in trying to find a helper for my mother I duly looked through Yellow Pages. I went through numerous names ringing them and asking the necessary questions. I was actually appalled at some of their manner supposedly being caring folks which they answered to prospective business until I came to Helping Hands. My prayers were answered. The title congers up a company who are out to help folks in need and this they certainly did. On speaking to Wendy I couldn’t have asked for more, so kind, caring, taking into account Mum’s needs and what was required. They lady they sent we couldn’t have asked for more, nothing was too much trouble, kind, conscientious, helpful and considerate. Mum loved her coming and it was a great help to me. Her work was of a very high standard.

I started necessary domestic help from Helping hands Domestic Care Ltd several years ago because I suffer from osteoporosis and arthritis in both knees. I have help twice a week at the moment on a Monday and a Thursday. This alternates between two ladies, both of which are efficient and friendly and help me in so many ways during the time they are here. I have always received respect from everyone in Helping Hands and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family

It is now 8 years 6 months that you have been coming to my home. The service that you provide is superb. Tanya has never ever been late, she always does an excellent job, I just let her get on with the work! She is very pleasant company to have around . Always a pleasure to see Wendy when I pop into the office.
